Joaquim Oliveira is a Partner at Seneca Evercore and Seneca Capital. Previously, he was a Managing Partner at Cescon Barrieu, a law firm he founded in 2002. At Cescon Barrieu, Joaquim was responsible for the financial services and finance, capital markets, mergers and acquisitions, private equity, and primarily restructuring areas. As a legal advisor, he represented debtors and creditors in complex debt restructuring transactions involving multicreditor negotiations, the purchase and sale of non-performing assets, convertible and exchangeable transactions, and intercreditor negotiations. He worked as an associate at Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP in New York and began his career at Machado Meyer, Sendacz e Opice Advogados. Joaquim holds an LL.M. from the University of Michigan Law School and graduated in Law from the University of São Paulo (USP)
