Daniel Wainstein

Daniel Wainstein is a Founding Partner of Seneca Evercore and Seneca Capital. In 2013, he, along with Rodrigo Mello and Isaias Sznifer, founded Seneca, initially partnering with Greenhill (NY, USA) and later with Evercore (NY, USA). Previously, he was the president of Goldman Sachs' investment bank for Brazil and Latin America, being the first Brazilian partner in the history of Goldman Sachs (and remains the only Brazilian to have achieved this position at the investment bank). Daniel began his career on Wall Street at Lehman Brothers in 1998 and joined Goldman Sachs in New York in January 2000. In addition to Seneca Evercore, Daniel holds a non-executive position as a Senior Advisor for the IFC in Brazil. He holds an MBA from the University of Rochester, pursued a Ph.D. in Economics at Brown University, and graduated in Economics from the University of São Paulo (USP)
